◎缺乏文法概念，導致自創片語或句型
誤：Don't worry. Just study as possible as you can.
正：Don't worry. Just study as hard as you can.
誤：How to spell that word?
正：How do you spell that word?

◎不知現在分詞和過去分詞作形容詞用的區別
誤：I feel boring.
正：I feel bored.

◎very不修飾動詞
誤：I very like him.
正：I like him a lot. (I like him very much.)

◎不重視音標，導致發音不正確（連音、鼻音、長短音及高低起伏）
例：
1. value, million
2. good
3. cotton, student, badminton
4. My name is George. I'm sixteen years old. I'm from Taiwan. I hope I can make more friends here.

◎發音不正確
誤：We can eat that restroom around the corner.
正：We can eat that restaurant around the corner.

◎直譯中文讓老外聽了不知所云
誤：If you ever do that again, I'll give you a little color to see.
正：If you ever do that again, You're gonna see stars / I'll teach you a lesson.

◎亂用形容詞
誤：He has a running nose.
正：He has a runny nose.

◎亂用名詞
誤：Look! The bird has a very sharp mouth.
正：Look! The bird has a very sharp beak.

◎亂用動詞
誤：Don't forget to take me this evening.
正：Don't forget to pick me up this evening
